By using this platform, you agree to the following terms.
Introduction
Hamra Green is a digital platform designed to support community participation, environmental actions, and volunteer activities. By using this platform, you agree to these terms.
Platform Nature
Hamra Green is a free, volunteer-based platform where users can register and share environmental actions, achievements, and contributions.
This platform is not a commercial service provider and does not function as an official complaint or incident reporting system. Its purpose is to encourage positive action, learning, and social participation.
Equality, Inclusion, and Respectful Participation
Hamra Green is committed to equality, inclusion, and respectful participation for everyone, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, language, ability, socio-economic status, or place of residence.
Hamra Green does not tolerate harassment, discrimination, exploitation, intimidation, or inappropriate behaviour during activities, events, or online interactions.
User Roles and Participation
Users can participate as:
- Community contributors – sharing local actions, achievements, and initiatives
- Volunteers – joining campaigns and community activities
- Learners – accessing environmental information and training
- Partner organizations – coordinating activities and engaging with communities
All participation on this platform is voluntary and based on personal choice.
Women's Participation and Leadership
Hamra Green actively encourages women's and girls' participation and leadership at all levels of environmental and social activities, including tree planting, training, environmental reporting, and local coordination.
Partner organizations are encouraged to provide safe and accessible spaces for women’s participation and, where possible, to identify women coordinators or representatives for local activities.
Participation of Children and Minors (Under 18)
Participation of individuals under 18 in Hamra Green activities is only permitted with the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian and under appropriate adult supervision.
Activities for children and minors must be age-appropriate, safe, and free of physical or psychological risk. Photos or videos of children are published only with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian.
Safeguarding
Hamra Green is committed to protecting all participants, particularly vulnerable groups, from harassment, exploitation, and abuse.
Any safeguarding or safety concern must be reported immediately through Hamra Green’s reporting channels (see Section 17). All reports will be handled confidentially and with sensitivity to the affected person’s situation.
User Responsibilities
By using Hamra Green, you confirm that:
- All submitted information reflects your real actions or achievements
- Submitted information is accurate and truthful
- You are fully responsible for your submitted content
- Your participation is voluntary and self-directed
- You respect other users and contribute positively
Safety in Environmental and Social Activities
During in-person activities such as tree planting, environmental clean-ups, or community events, participants must:
- Follow the organizer's or partner organization's safety instructions
- Use appropriate and safe equipment and tools
- Stop the activity and report if unsafe conditions arise (bad weather, unstable ground, environmental hazards)
- Avoid participating in activities beyond their physical ability or without appropriate supervision
Acceptable Use
Users must not:
- ✕Submit false or misleading information
- ✕Publish content that violates applicable laws
- ✕Upload harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
- ✕Misuse the platform for political, commercial, or personal abuse
- ✕Violate rights, safety, or privacy of others
Photography, Video, and Informed Consent
Photos or videos taken during activities are captured only with the informed consent of the individuals appearing in them. Participants may withdraw consent for their image to be published at any time.
Photos and videos published on the platform may be used for educational, promotional, or impact-reporting purposes, unless the individual has explicitly objected.
Location and Sensitive Information
Users should exercise caution when sharing the precise location of homes, schools, or other sensitive sites, particularly when submitting environmental or social reports that could expose vulnerable individuals to risk.
Hamra Green may adjust or remove sensitive location information before public publication where necessary to protect individual safety.
Data and Information Use
- Users are responsible for their own submissions
- Hamra Green may use anonymized data for analytics, reporting, and system improvement
- Content may be reviewed to ensure compliance with these terms
Data Retention and Deletion
User information is retained only for as long as necessary for platform purposes, impact evaluation, and legal requirements.
Users may request to view, correct, or delete their personal information at any time through Hamra Green's contact channels.
Platform Rights
Hamra Green reserves the right to:
- Review, edit, or remove content that violates these terms
- Restrict or block access for users who violate policies
- Improve or change platform features
Privacy and Data Protection
Hamra Green is committed to protecting user information. Personal data is used only for platform operation, communication, and service improvement.
Complaints and Reporting
Users can report any concern, including harassment, discrimination, unsafe behaviour, or a violation of these terms, through the following channels:
- Reporting through the Hamra app

- Contacting the local partner organization coordinator
Review and Response to Complaints
Hamra Green reviews every complaint confidentially, fairly, and as promptly as possible. Depending on the severity of the issue, possible actions include a warning, restricting participation, removal from activities, or referral to relevant authorities.
Hamra Green aims to provide feedback to the complainant within a reasonable timeframe, while maintaining the confidentiality of all parties involved.
Responsibilities of Partner Organizations
Partner organizations that coordinate Hamra Green in-person activities are required to:
- Provide a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
- Follow Hamra Green's safeguarding and safety guidelines
- Immediately report any incident or safety concern to the Hamra Green team
- Ensure the informed and voluntary participation of all individuals, particularly children and vulnerable groups
Green Points and Rewards
Users may earn Green Points for verified participation in environmental activities. These points are purely incentive-based and do not create any monetary value or financial obligation for Hamra Green.
Hamra Green reserves the right to change the structure, criteria, or availability of points and rewards at any time.
Responsible Reporting and Verification
Users are required to provide accurate and honest information about their actions, achievements, and environmental reports.
Hamra Green reserves the right to verify submitted reports and claims through photos, location data, or partner organization confirmation, and may remove content or restrict a user’s participation if false or misleading information is found.
Limitation of Liability
Hamra Green operates as a facilitation and volunteer-based platform and works to provide a safe and responsible environment; however, it:
- ✕Cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of all information submitted by users
- ✕Does not assume direct responsibility for the independent actions of users or partner organizations during in-person activities
- ✕Will nonetheless act in accordance with the procedures set out in this document if a safety or safeguarding concern is reported
Hamra Green remains committed to the safety and safeguarding commitments described in these terms and encourages users to participate responsibly and with informed consent.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated in the future. Continued use of the platform means acceptance of changes.
